I made this Botanical Fabric Bundle listen to the rain dance on the skylight in my studio. I wanted to start a new patchwork project and pulled out a bunch of fabric that reflected the colors of the sky, the Redwoods, and the wild flowers in the garden.
There’s enough fabric for several small projects. I have FREE pouch patterns available in my shop. All hand sewn and perfect for all levels of experience. If you’re looking for more inspiration, I design a new project every month on my Patreon
Naturally dyed by hand in Sonoma County, California. Uneven coloring & gentle fading is just one of the magickal characteristics of botanical dyes.
This botanical bundle includes
28 pieces ranging from 4 1/2” x 7” to 2“x 2” (11.5cm x 17.75cm to 5cm x 5cm)
Fabrics: Linen, linen & cotton blend, Kona cotton, silk, eucalyptus and silk, silk velvet, dupioni silk, and 2 pieces of vintage kimono fabric.
Botanical dyes used: Oak Galls, California Coffeeberry Leaves, Myrobalan, Chlorophillyn, Tanoak, Madder, Fustic, Cochineal, Pericón, Dye Ball Mushroom, Indigo, Redwood Cones, and Cutch.
Color variations and some uneven dyeing may occur.
All fabric has been washed and dried twice. Excluding vintage kimono fabric.
It's best to store naturally dyed fabric from constant direct sunlight as fading may occur.
When needed, hand or machine wash gently in cold water. Hang to dry out of direct sunlight. Use a PH-neutral soap. Excess dye residue may occur. Do not use the vintage kimono fabric on any projects that will need washing.
